I’m proud to be running the 2026 TCS NYC Marathon as part of the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation Endurance Team!

Running the New York City Marathon has been a lifelong dream of mine. This will be my dad’s 25th consecutive year running the NYC Marathon. My sister and I grew up bundled up on the sidelines each November, cheering for him in different boroughs and waiting for the moment we’d spot him in the crowd. Watching him run year after year made the NYC Marathon part of our family’s story and inspired me to one day run it together with my dad and sister.

My connection to this race is also deeply tied to my family’s experience with brain cancer. When I was ten, my grandmother underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor on the same day as the 37th New York City Marathon. My dad had planned to stay at the hospital, but true to her tenacious and resilient personality, she insisted he keep his promise to run. So, while she was in surgery, he ran 26.2 miles through New York City with only one thing on his mind: his mom. Years later, our family faced brain cancer again when my cousin Christine was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Christine continues to fight with extraordinary strength and resilience, and she inspires our family daily.  Experiences like these have shown me how deeply cancer impacts not just patients, but entire families.

That’s why the mission of the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation is so meaningful to me. CBTF supports children and families affected by brain and spinal cord tumors through diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and beyond. They provide critical emotional, educational, and community support.

I’ve committed to raising $3,750 to help ensure these families never face this journey alone.

If you’re able, please consider making a donation to help me reach my goal and support this incredible cause. Every contribution truly makes a difference!
